Hey, it’s been a long time, and a lot has happened in between.
I traveled to another city, stayed there for a few months and am back now. Meanwhile my new room mate has introduced me to hoverboards or what you may call mini segways.
They were all the rage as a Christmas present and then they started going up in flames. I was tempted to try one back then but all the news reports of hoverboards burning down houses got me quite nervous.
Well this time hoverboards are making a much better and safer come back. The US Govt. had not only declared them unsafe they had banned the import of the hoverboards.
However, now a new breed of hoverboards have come into the market that are completely safe. And why am I saying that because I am going by what the Central Product Safety Commission is stating. The US Govt. agency stated that hoverboards are to be declared safe only if they have a certain safety certification known as the UL 2272 standard.
My room mate bought a new hoverboard called the SwagTron T1. It is a really smart self-balancing electric scooter and it has UL 2272 certification. I tried it and fell on to the carpeted floor once or twice but then I got the hang of it.
The SwagTron which you can see below is the world’s first UL 2272 certified hoverboard and has so many safety features that I can’t put them all in here 🙂
Hey this was my first post on hoverboards, but I am going to put many of them in soon. They are really awesome. Hoverboards are back, and they rule!
